and....Local Gumps sorta catch "Freak
Fish"

June 27, 2001 Another GREAT DAY on
the good ship "FISH
FINDER" with Cap't
Mark Sampson and his mate, "Willie". We caught a
savory mix of fish. We ALL caught a load of big ass Bluefish. Zeph
and John (accountant's hubby) caught some nice King Mackerel.
JD and Hunter took a couple of right purdy Dolphin. John took the
first shark of the day which was a right big Dusky, but as they
are protected we simply "tagged and released."
Then while Zephy was plugging, he managed to coax in a big
Hammerhead. we didn't want that shark to hit the plug, so we
pulled the plug outta the water and he then attacked a whole
Bluefish we had rigged on the kite line. He made a mess of that,
then took off without being caught.
We then spent the better part of the afternoon watch the comedy of
Hunter trying to cast. HAHAHAHAHA DUUUUUUUUCK!
Then Zephy tried to cash in on Coastal Fisherman fame by catching
another freak fish SEE THIS
(Not really, just a joke. Bird was actually hand caught by Capt
Mark and was left go unharmed)
Then with only one shark actually caught we had to resort to desperate
measures, and pleaded with Mate Willie to do the infamous
"Shark Dance" the photographing of such is actually
prohibited BUT we DID manage to sneak a shot in a previous gallery
SEE
HERE . Shhhhhhh tell NO ONE about this secret ritual.
Shortly after the dance....Whaaaaaaaaaaam we hit another
Hammerhead, and Zephy wrassled in that somagun. And it, I might
add, kicked Zephy's butt! |
