| Ocean City, MD is also home to the Ward
Foundation's Wildlife and Waterfowl carving exhibition. It is the
LARGEST of it's kind anywhere in the world. Taking place on the same
weekend as the Kite Festival, the carving Expo is a REAL TREAT. It was the first show of this sort that I ever attended and to be honest I was expecting a "Country Craftsy" type Duck and Geese...BOY was I WRONG! This is HIGH ART and it is Sculpture at its very finest! You will be amazed at how these skilled artisans are able to give SOLID WOOD the appearance of being soft, velvety down.
