I recently took my wife and son along with my sister Linda and brother-in-law Doug on a cruise aboard the "Crown Dynasty", to the VERY beautiful island colony of Bermuda. We booked our trip spur of the moment when our limousine driver stole our limousine and left the state. The trip was booked for us by Joan at SeaSide Travel in Ocean City 410 723-3400 and yes that WAS a plug for Seaside Travel:). The cruise departed from the Naval ShipYard in Philadelphia, PA. I would not hesitate to recommend Bermuda to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic get-a-way. The island is gorgeous, the attitude is relaxed, the people are FRIENDLY and HONEST which is more than I can say for the inhabitants of MANY islands I have visited. The ONLY possible drawback to some that may visit Bermuda is the cost. Bermuda IS expensive, EVEN by MY standards it is pricey.....and I'm fairly poked up. LOL! But it is important to realize though that they are NOT gouging tourists, the high prices YOU pay while in Bermuda are what the residents of the island deal with ALL the time. A couple of recommendations I will make are as follows. The prescribed modes of transportation on the island are primarily mopeds and taxis. I would strongly urge AMERICANS to take the TAXIS. The VAST majority of casualties occur from American tourists that can not seem to get the hang of driving on the left side of the road. If you take a taxi, just ask for "Bird" at the taxi stand he knows the island and is very honest. The other "Must do" in Bermuda. is to take a snorkeling cruise aboard the "Restless Native", you can find this big pink catamaran berthed at the Dock Yard. Simply go there and ask Joan or her husband, Kirk to book a tour. They are friendly, entertaining AND VERY knowledgeable about Bermudan culture and local marine biology. The entire time while in Bermuda, myself and Doug my brother-in-law, were armed with high quality digital cameras and we took hundreds and hundreds of pictures. The images on the following pages have been resized (smaller, duh) and compressed to allow for faster loading on the web. If you need the full sized uncompressed original image file just email me and I'll send it to ya. I don't care if you use any of the images of Bermuda or any BeachFever.com images for that matter as long as you simply email me at jondavid@4jon.com to let me know. Again, Bermuda and all that is Bermuda, the pink beaches, the pastel colored neatly painted homes, the courteous people, the manicured lawns, singing tree frogs, everything, was delightful and certainly worthy of many return visits. Enjoy the following image galleries and hopefully we've managed to give you at least a taste of what is Bermuda. ENTER HERE FOR THE BERMUDA IMAGE GALLERIES |
